Anabelle's recital

Anabelle had her dance recital last weekend. She was AWESOME! Her class did a ballet dance to Frank Sinatra's 'The Way You Look Tonight'. Her favorite part of the recital was getting flowers :0)!

Disco Elise

Although she excels in her gymnastics class, Elise is also quite a singer & dancer. She enjoys putting on shows with her sister. Here she is getting down to 'Disco Duck'!!

Here's Elise in her preschool class singing Mother's Day songs. She did such a sweet job!

Sadie

Sadie has grown up SO much! Just a few weekends ago, we moved her into her "big girl bed" (just a toddler bed). She was very excited and has been doing well with it. She's waking up earlier in the mornings now, but at least she plays quietly in her room!

Here's a picture of Sadie with her first drawing of a face. She was very proud of herself.

For months now, Sadie has shown a strong interest in cowboys & cowgirls. Whenever we're in a store and someone has a has somewhat resembling a cowboy hat, she says, "LOOK MAMA, a cowboy!!!!" One day, she said this about an old man and he tipped his hat at her and said, "Nice to meetcha." She thought this was the coolest thing ever!

Playtime

Sadie loves baby dolls. Here's her feeding one and giving another one a bath.

Q U Wedding

Anabelle's class had a Q U wedding a few weeks ago. They learned that q & u are always together in words. Her teacher had one girl in the class be Q and a boy be U. Anabelle was one of the readers and married the letters! She used a microphone and read 12 lines without stumbling on the words. She did an AWESOME job!
The wedding was really cute. They had a string quartet, bridesmaids & groomsmen with q & u names, and a reception afterwards.

~Happy Easter~

Hi there!

We hope you had a wonderful Easter! Ours was very nice and extra sweet. Sugar induced overactive children were in full swing at our house from about 7:30 am until 7:30 pm! You can clearly see the evidence here in the pictures. Getting them to stand still for a photo was the most challenging event of the day followed by fixing their hair for church. By that time, they had consumed an entire chocolate bunny, a few Peeps, and pancakes smothered in syrup. What was the Easter bunny thinking??

Here's a little clip of them coming down the stairs to find their Easter baskets.

What a fun day!

It is 70 degrees and sunny here, so we decided to get outside and enjoy it! Today Anabelle was home from school because her class will finally be moving to the new elementary school down the street tomorrow. They gave the children a day off so the teachers could prepare their classrooms (she's VERY excited!). So...I decided to take advantage of the day and visit a beautiful park downtown called Maymont. The girls had a blast "fishing" in the coi pond at the Japanese gardens, tromping through the bamboo forests, rolling down the hills near the Mediterranean gardens, and feeding the animals at the barns. I could have spent the whole day there, but they were pretty tired after walking all morning. I would have taken more pictures of the beautiful landscape, but those spots were usually near water and I wasn't completely confident in letting go of Sadie's hand!! Here are a few pictures of the girls!

XOXO Happy Valentine's Day!!

Hi there!
We hope you had a great day! Here's a picture I took of the girls today.

Here's Anabelle & Elise cuddling after a long day and Sadie enjoying her books.

Here's Elise on her 'Show Day' for gymnastics. She was invited to join the advanced class and has learned to to pullovers on the uneven bars and is working on mastering her cartwheels! She can also apparently walk up walls!
